Thanksgiving is over and Gentry High School basketball will be back in full swing Saturday.
The Rams and Lady Rams will be hosting the Kirk E. Price Memorial Thanksgiving Classic tomorrow, an event which brings three other schools to the Gentry High campus.

After opening the season with four wins, the MDCC Lady Trojans’ record suffered its first blemish with a 58-53 loss to Southwest Community College. The Lady Trojans led after the first period, 13-11 and then Southwest reversed that score in the second and the game was tied at halftime, 24-24.

After three quick wins to open the season, injuries and eligibility issues have shackled the Mississippi Delta Community College Trojan basketball team. Two lopsided losses, 92-79 on the road at Baton Rouge Community College and a home loss, 90-69 to Jones College have the Trojans just a game over .500 at 3-2.
