Colonels fall in Winona: Late 4Q miscues seal playoff loss for IA

A first-round appearance in the 3A State Playoffs last Friday night brought an end to the Indianola Academy 2024 football season.
Playing at Winona Christian School, the Colonels dropped a 42-27 decision to the Stars, who moved on to tonight’s second round of the playoffs.

Rebels finish 2024 football season

Despite putting on the best offensive effort of the season, the 2024 North Sunflower Academy football campaign came to an end in Jackson last Friday night.
Playing at Hillcrest Christian School, a very young Rebels squad dropped an exciting 46-42 non-district decision to complete the season with a 1-9 record.

Rematch against Stars: Colonels head to Winona for first round playoff

They may have fallen short in last Friday’s district championship football game, but the Indianola Academy Colonels could be taking some momentum into today’s playoff game.
“We played the best game we played all year,” said IA Head Coach Tommy Nester of his team’s 38-28 loss to Canton Academy. “I was proud of the kids; they fought hard.”

Tigers look to get back on winning side

Win or lose, the 2024 Thomas Edwards High football season will be coming to an end tonight at Winona High School.
However, although playoff hopes have disappeared, today’s 7 p.m. kickoff offers the Tigers of Edwards High a final opportunity to record a Region 3-3A victory.
