Playoffs begin soon for IA softball

With their regular season schedule complete, it is now on to the North State 4A Playoffs.
However, there will be a bit of a wait before the 4-16 Indianola Academy Lady Colonels open their postseason competition.
Hosted by North Delta School in Batesville, the playoffs will begin Saturday, September 28 at Trussell Park.

Rebels head to DeSoto looking to break string of losses

A very formidable football opponent is awaiting the North Sunflower Academy Rebels tonight in West Helena, Arkansas.
Taking their 0-4, 0-1 record across the Mississippi River to DeSoto School, today’s 7 p.m. kickoff will find the Rebels taking on an undefeated (4-0) and defending 2A state champion Thunderbirds squad.

Edwards hitting the road to Greenville tonight

Someone will earn their first football victory of the season tonight.
For local fans, the hope is that it will be the Thomas Edwards High Tigers who will improve upon their 0-4 record.
That opportunity will occur today at 7 p.m. with a road-trip clash against the 5A member Greenville High School Hornets.

Looking to right ship after shutout loss to Humphreys last week

The road is not getting any easier for the Gentry High Rams football team.
For today in Olive Branch, the 1-2 Rams and the 2-1 Center Hill High School Mustangs will compete at 7 p.m. in a non-regional clash.
The Rams are looking to rebound from last Friday’s 36-0 home-field loss to undefeated Humphreys County High of Belzoni.
